General English Courses The general English curriculum is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages. It takes learners from the beginning to the end of the B2 stage. It uses textbooks, digital and online resources, as well as teacher-developed material aligned with the CEFR. The focus is on language learning through a variety of activities that offer contextualized situations during which learners are given enough time to practice the target language through listening to and reading authentic material, along with speaking and writing about a variety of topics in real-life situations, thus ensuring language enhancement through the integration of the four English-language skills. The general English curriculum is 16 levels, covering four stages. By the end of each stage, learners obtain a stage certificate with their CEFR level, which is internationally benchmarked.
